Deborah’s disability journey: From carer to changemaker

Deborah van der Berg’s inspirational story starts with being a carer for her disabled father, leading her up the path to the disability studies programme in the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) department of health and rehabilitation sciences. UCT celebrates and honours retirees

The University of Cape Town (UCT) hosted a luncheon for its retirees on 6 November at the vice-chancellor’s residence.
